Encouragement
My Pastor emailed this to me and others:
OTHERS MAY: YOU CANNOT-by G. D. Watson (1845-1924).
of crucifixion and humility, and put upon you such demands of obedience,
that you will not be able to follow other people, or measure yourself by
other Christians, and in many ways He will seem to let other people do
things which He will not let you do.
Other Christians and ministers who seem very religious and useful, may
push themselves, pull wires, and work schemes to carry out their plans,
but you cannot do it, and if you attempt it, you will meet with such
failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent.
Others may boast of themselves, of their work, of their successes, of
their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such
thing, and if you begin it, He will lead you into some deep mortification
that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.
Others may be allowed to succeed in making money, or may have a legacy
left to them, but God may well keep you poor, because He wants
you to have something far better than gold, namely, a helpless dependence
upon Him, that He may have the privilege of supplying your needs day by
day out of an unseen treasury.
The Lord may let others be honored and put forward, and keep you hidden
in obscurity, because He wants to produce some choice fragrant fruit for
His coming glory, which can only be produced in the shade. He may let
others be great, but keep you small. He may let others do a work for Him
and get the credit for it, but He will have you work and toil on without
knowing how much you are doing; and then to make your work still more
precious He may let others get credit for the work which you have done,
and thus make YOUR REWARD FAR GREATER WHEN JESUS COMES.
The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch over you, with a jealous love, and
will rebuke you for little words and feelings or for wasting your time,
which other Christians never feel distressed over. So make up your mind
that God is an Infinitely Sovereign Being, and has a right to do as He
pleases with His own. He may not explain to you a thousand things which
puzzle your reason in His dealings with you, but if you absolutely sell
yourself to be His love slave, He will wrap you up in Jealous Love, and
bestow upon you many blessings.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Here are a few things I'm thankful for: Jesus Christ's sacrifice for me, Mom, Dad, BergerBoy, the love of God, grace greater than sin, brothers and sisters in the Lord, autumn colors, hoodies, turkey, my beautiful home, redemption.
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Oh yeah! The volleyball scores: 8-25, 9-25, 10-25. I haven't be beaten that bad in a long time in anything. It really hurt. My team has been miraculously revived. We had practice today. I think we have all the bugs worked out for our next game, this Tuesday.(Yikes!)

An Update
I don't want anyone to think it was easy. This is probably the biggest and hardest change of my life. I'm sure there will be many more to come. I'm so thankful to my parents. I am thankful for all those who have invested in my life over the past three years at school. I would not be who I am today without your influence and lovingkindness.I am most thankful to and for my God who will see me through it all. Nothing can separate me from the love of God! What a promise!!!

Lavame!!!
I haven't posted a picture in a long time. This one has a great story behind it! I happened during the most awesome mission trip ever. Well, I've only been on one, so I don't have anything to compare it to.
School starts in three days:( I guess most people in my position(a Senior!) would be excited, but I'm having a hard time getting excited. As Mr.Y says,"You should be excited about serving the Lord everyday." This leads to being excited about your whole day in general. Everything I do I should do for the Lord. This leads me to see God's meaning in even the "smallest" things like crossing my T's and dotting my I's. His meaning is His glory. I want Him to be glorified so I should be excited!

Ok, Ok!
Camp went well. I didn't think anyone got saved until I came back from Faith and someone that had visited one of the campers said he prayed to receive the Lord as His Savior. Well, I pray that he was sincere. There was a lot of messages that were helpful to me. B talked about "The Race". There are three positions here. 1) You have never started. 2) Your on it, but you are being slowed or stopped by an/ obstacle(s). 3) Your running the race full speed ahead. I also have somewhat of an accountability partner now. I think this was the greatest blessing to me.
Camp was at a different location this year. There are a few ups and downs though. The Ups: bathrooms in the cabins, beautiful scenery, campfire, hayless hay ride, pontoon boat ride, flat land to play games. The Downs: more people in the cabins(having to keep up and connect with 10 people), no volleyball tournament, less pool time, no crafts, no milk(except with cereal one morning) or juice at breakfast, snacks cost extra, paying almost 2x as much as last year. I can't think of anything else right now.
Since then, I've been hanging out at home waiting for school to start): I also started babysitting last week. It has been fun. I'm still young enough to remember my babysitters. I can remember the fun things and the not so fun things. I've tried to come up with things that would be fun. One day we played balloon volleyball. Another time we played with the water hose and had a water balloon fight.
My future has been a popular subject lately. If I'm supposed to go to college, now would be a good time to figure where. I want to be a missionary, but if I ever have to come home I need to have a way to support myself. I just don't know would best fit my personality, abilities, interests, and so on. I don't want to make the wrong decision. That doesn't seem like a valid fear. If there is anyone out there reading this, please pray that seek the Lord with all my heart. Once I have my relationship with Him, nothing will I fear. Perfect love casts out all fear. His love is perfect. My love? Definitely not perfect.

Day 27-31
I've worked a lot this summer. I'm mostly saving for a car and maybe a mission conference later this year(or a mission trip in 2008!). Nothing is really standing out for all these other days. Today I got to play in the rain. It was an invigorating experience. You see the rain, you hear it fall to the ground, and you feel it hit you. If you really wanted, you could smell and taste it, but I didn't. I guess I did smell it, but not on purpose.

Weekend*2
Sunday I went to Sunday School. My teacher is going to attend another church closer to his home soon, so this was one of his last classes with us. The pastor was out of town so a member of the church preached. He taught that Satan is a liar, deceiver, and a murderer. He tells us things that seem to be truth, but they are only half truths. A half truth is a whole lie. Spent the evening reading and reflecting until it was time to pick up my brother's cell phone which was supposed to be ready at four. I picked it up at 4:50. They didn't have his key lock number, so I got it for them, and then they took another 15 minutes because what they thought the problem was wasn't the problem. They came to the conclusion that they didn't know what the problem was and that he would have to get a new one. I was then about 10 minutes late for choir practice. After church the youth get together for a thing called afterglow. We played volleyball, ate, had a time of devotions, and played more volleyball. Thus concludes Weekend*Two!

What 2 Do With the Weekend?*1
Sunday my brother left with a friend on his way to South Carolina. I went to Sunday School and church. I forgot it was my turn for nursery and had to go downstairs in the middle of the sermon. I got home, ate lunch, enjoyed the wonderful windy weather on my Dad's hummock, and watched the clouds go by. I went to choir practice. My friend and I were both wearing the same shirt so when the director was checking something he called her Tess. Later during the evening service a little girl who was visiting my church asked if we were twins. Funny, I know.

Day 5
What I learned today:
- Always cut long fingernails before washing a van.
- When in doubt(emotional unstable), seek advice, talk, and don't assume.
- Don't encourage the pouring of ice water on others. It never seems to end right.
- If you let a car dry in the late evening(or the shade), it will not have water residue (spots).

God is Great!
This past Sunday I decided to go on a walk. It was a great time just talking to the Lord and thinking. There were several times when I just stopped to look at something [like a dead flattened creature(I think was a frog or lizard) or to see what kind of bird was making a strange noise]. It was a beautiful day with hardly a cloud in the sky, but there was a bit of a breeze. I didn't walk too far after I turned back toward home. I started to think about the future, which is sometimes a dangerous thing to think about, but I told the Lord I was trusting in Him for whatever He brings along. After that thought I looked up and saw an amazing thing! I don't know how to describe it except by calling it a dust devil or a mini tornado. I have seen them on television. I don't remember ever seeing one in real life though. It was picking up leaves and tossing them up in the air. Then it went over the little creek that runs alongside my road and made a miniature water spout. It came pack over dry land. About that time I felt a drip of water on my cheek. Remember it was a beautiful blue skied day, no rain clouds! It came across the road and then back on to the road. By this time I had walked up to it and was in it! It was awesome!!! Again it went off of the road picking up leaves from the ground and throwing them way up in the air. It was a blustery day, but not blustery enough to throw leaves that high in the air. The dirt devil, mini tornado, leaf devil, or whatever you want to call it was special because God's timing was perfect. He wanted me to see it and made it happen.God is great!

What is Love?
Love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, he that loveth not knoweth not God. 1 John 4:7,8
Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long, and is kind;love envies not; love vaults not itself(is not rash), is not puffed up, does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; rejoices not in iniquity(sin), but rejoices in truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

I'm Here (Sort of)...
When He was born, He was wrapped in swaddling clothes and placed into a manger. Yes, this is how God made His great entry into this world. Not what we would think of as a triumpant entry, but Jesus knew that He did not come to over throw the Roman government. Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. I was lost. Jesus left the perfection of heaven to come as the Lamb of God, the perfect sinless sacrifice, to die for my sins and for everyone's sins. All I did was recieve Jesus. I admitted that I was a sinner, and I had no righteousness -Romans 3:23. The wages of my sins are an eternity in hell. Nothing we can do by ourselves will get us to heaven, but there was a gift given the very first Christmas that can solve our sin problem. This gift was Jesus Christ. God loved us so much He died for us! Through Him (not ourselves, remember?) we can have eternal life - Romans 6:23; 5:8. I confessed I could do nothing of my own to get rid of my sin and that His death was sufficient to pay for my sin. One of the most exciting parts of Jesus' life is that when He died, He did not stay dead. Because He was God, death had no power over Him and it could not hold Him in His grave. He is now at the right hand of God the Father, the highest place of honor in the universe. The Bible tells us if we will confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, amd believe that God has raised Him from the dead, we will be saved from your lost state -Romans 10:9. After doing this you will have begun the most amazing adventure, journey, growth experience, and love story your life has ever known, so grab a Bible, start reading it everyday and pray to your God because He hears and answers your prayers! Tell Him your every joy and sorrow just as you would speak to a best friend, your father (or a father figure in your life), and someone who loves you. God is all three and even more to His children.
If you do not surrender your life to God to let Him do as He pleases with it, and if you do not confess Jesus Christ as Lord and more specifically as your Lord, your knee will bow and your tounge will confess He is Lord -Philippians 2:5-11.
I pray this made sense, and if it didn't please ask questions.

A Two Month Break
I guess I will expound on a couple things. First, I had a really good birthday. I tried to skip school because it was my birthday, but my principal wouldn't let me:(ha, ha). I had a pancake breakfast cooked by my mom which was yummy but it made me late for school. This was the first time I had been late for school in a long time. Oh well, it makes for a good memory! When I got home some neighbor friends came over to watch Burgerboy do an experiment. That was lots of fun. We ate cake and ice cream. I made a observation while blowing out my seventeen candles. It is really hard to blow out seventeen candles in only one breath. I got a sewing machine, a sewing table, and some CDs. After this my family and I went to church because a missionary had come to speak and cook an Indian meal. That was lots of fun too. Last week I visited PCC during my school's annual college trip. I was in a room filled with fun girls. It was a blessing because two of the girls were mission majors and the other was a nursing major. These are the two things that I am interested in as of now as far as careers go. It was also an answer to prayer. Everyone there was really friendly and the campus was beautiful. I had a great time while I was there. Now I'm looking forward to my next adventure, a mission trip to Mexico. I'm excited because this will be my first time being involved in foreign mission work. I'm praying that the Lord would open more doors, like the upcoming mission trip, for me to experience work on foreign fields . That's all for now! God bless!

Life ll
Church camp report: In my personal opinion it was the best year of church camp I have ever experienced, yet. I was a counselor for the first time in my seven years of camp. I had been looking forward to that week of camp for years, and the Lord did not disappoint my expectation. My cabin was named the Furloughed Fisherwomen after Matthew 4:19, 20 and it was full of seven darling girls. They were so joyful and full of life the whole time. There was hardly a minute that I didn't hear a laugh or giggle from them. We had lots of prayers going up to the Lord the whole summer before and during camp. I did not know how the Lord was going to work that week, but all I can say now is that the Lord showed Himself strong Thursday night. One of my girls was unsure of her salvation after the camp directors message that night. I led her in a prayer and she professed Christ as her Savior, and another one of my girls professed Christ as her Savior also. That was my first time sharing and leading someone to the Cross. my heart and soul were leaping within me the whole time. The whole camp was just AMAZING!!!
God bless!!!

A GREAT CONFERENCE & MY MESSY ROOM!

I was so blessed that the Lord opened the door to allow me to go this youth conference. At first I was really anxious since I did not think I would know anyone, but the Lord answered prayers and I knew 4 people. Most of the young people were saved so it made for great fellowship. Right now I am on vacation. We went rafting yesterday. I encourage anyone who has never been to go. It really gets your heart going especially when you know the person -or persons- who have fallen out of the raft. Please excuse all the verizon stuff I am not home to delete it even if I was my internet is not working. I am home(now 7-10-06), my internet is working, and I have erased it!

3rd Week of Summer Vacation
I also dog-sat, fish-sat, and babysat this week. Who doesn't love odd jobs? The dog(Stinker) wasn't too bad, although he did have his bad days. The fish, well, what can you say about a fish? It didn't make a peep(to bad I can't say the same about the dog). One of the girls from school was my partner in the babysitting job. We were the nursery workers for a wedding. It was a lot of fun because the door of the nursery room gave me a great view into all of the behind the scene work of a wedding. The wedding started at one and I was at the church by eleven. Before the wedding had even started I saw the bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and ringbearer(who was most outgoing eight year old I have ever remembered meeting). I didn't even know the people getting married, but seeing everyone run around made me excited for them!
I love summer break!
God bless!

The Conclusion
Personally, the most exciting parts for me were Atalie getting a command performance and the awards ceremony. Atalie did a wonderful job on her dramatic monologue so well that they asked her Thursday night if she would perform it in front of the whole convention. Everyone was so proud of her. She also got first in her expressive reading and table tennis. There was not one person from my school who didn't go home with at least one medal. All of my school had worked so hard on all of their events so the awards ceremony was the payoff for all of our hard work. There is so much to write but I don't feel like writing all of it so I'll leave you with my results

Time To Post...
Psalm 7:1 "O LORD my God, in the do I put my trust..."
Psalm 37:5 "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."
Psalm 115:13 "He will bless them that fear the LORD, both great and small."
School is going well... aside from the fact that I failed my first test in a very long time (my first Geomerty)...fancy that. We are getting ready for competitions in March. Unfortunately, we don't have enough people for any team sports, watch out next year though! I'm trying out for the first time poetry recitation, radio broadcasting, pace bowl, and me and my friend have a science project. I'm ready for church camp, too. We're also praying that God would lead us to the person that He would want as a guest speaker for that week( if that be His will). That's about all I can think of right now. Stay warm...God bless!
Psalm 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."
